The Fred Hutch Survivorship Program Health Links were adapted from the Children's Oncology Group Long-Term Follow-Up Guidelines for Survivors of Childhood, Adolescent, and Young Adult Cancers; the Lance Armstrong Foundation's Cancer Support Resources; and other sources from recognized experts in survivorship. They provide detailed information about the issues cancer survivors face after treatment, as well as recommendations for screening and management of late effects that may potentially arise as a result of therapeutic exposures used during treatment.
These guidelines represent a statement of consensus from a panel of experts on the late effects of pediatric and adult cancer treatment. The recommendations are based on a thorough review of the literature as well as the collective clinical experience of the task force members, panel of experts, and multidisciplinary review panel.
Note: Inclusion is not an endorsement by Fred Hutch or the SCCA. These health links provide general information; for specific guidelines and recommendations involving your cancer survivorship care, please contact your health care provider.
