SLU Collaborative

Sharing Knowledge, Accelerating Science

Here in South Lake Union, start-up technology and bio-tech companies are rapidly forming an innovation hub. We are fortunate that our three world-renowned research centers share this burgeoning neighborhood – Fred Hutch, UW Medicine, and the Allen Institute.

Driven by the imperative to propel medical discoveries to market and improve patient care, the directors of these three institutions created the South Lake Union Collaborative. Our mandate is to create a formal infrastructure to share knowledge, accelerate science, and speed lifesaving treatments to patients.

Our Seminar Series

The SLU Collaborative hosts a quarterly seminar series to promote networking and spark innovative collaboration. The goal is to draw on our complementary approaches to science and our divergent strengths to drive exciting research.
