Obliteride registration now open: Join the ride to end cancer

Help obliterate cancer. Register to take part in Obliteride, Fred Hutch's first-ever bike ride event Aug. 9-11. Far from the typical bike-a-thon, Obliteride is an entire weekend of cycling, celebrations, and concerts to raise funds to accelerate lifesaving research at Fred Hutch. One hundred percent of every dollar raised will directly support our cancer research. To register to ride, fundraise or volunteer.

No excuses: 3 ways to support Obliteride

• Ride
  Obliteride will feature four scenic routes in western Washington with various distances and terrains to enable all levels of riders to participate. 
  
  Join an established team, create a new team of five or more individuals from your department or lab, or go solo. Each rider will pay a registration fee-$100 for 25-mile, 50-mile or 100-mile routes; $150 for the 180-mile route-and commit to raising $1,000-$1,975 depending on the route.
  
  Registration fees include an Obliteride club jersey from Voler, a kickoff celebration at Gas Works Park for riders and one guest each, and a full finish line celebration for each distance. The two-day, 180-mile route includes overnight accommodations and a celebration at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma.
  
  
• Fundraise
  The 'no bike required' way to support Obliteride. Virtual riders pay a $25 registration fee, create a fundraising page, and then ask everyone they know to donate to cancer research.
  
  
• Volunteer
  More than 1,000 volunteers are needed to make the first Obliteride a success. If you're not a bike rider but are willing to donate time, effort, and energy to support those who will ride, sign up to volunteer today. It's more fun to volunteer with others, so recruit your friends and colleagues.
