Don’t miss your chance to swim in Lake Washington for Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and cancer research in the Swim Across America Seattle on Saturday, Sept. 10.

Join Team SCCA or create your own at the Swim Across America website.

The third annual event offers the choice of:

  • A two-mile swim beginning at Mercerwood Shore Club and ending at Mercer Island’s Luther Burbank Park swim beach (8 a.m. start)
  • A half-mile swim at Luther Burbank Park swim beach (8:30 a.m. start)
  • Kids’ Splash 50-meter open water swim for kids 11 and under at Luther Burbank Park swim beach (9:45 a.m. start).

Each adult swimmer is responsible for a registration fee of $50, which counts toward a minimum fundraising requirement of $300. Contributions from this year’s event support research and treatment for pancreas cancer patients and research in SCCA’s Cellular Therapy Lab.

A team of former Olympic swimmers will be on hand for the swims, which will be followed by a celebration and award ceremony at Luther Burbank Park.
