Riddell, Wald elected to Association of American Physicians

The Association of American Physicians recently added to its ranks Dr. Stanley Riddell, a Clinical Research Division immunologist and a University of Washington School of Medicine oncology professor, and Dr. Anna Wald, an attending physician at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and director of the UW’s Virology Research Clinic.

Election to the AAP is an honor and milestone for prominent physician-scientists. The professional organization was founded in 1885 for “the advancement of scientific and practical medicine.” Its members pursue medical knowledge and work to apply their discoveries to clinical medicine. Members have included Nobel laureates and members of the National Academy of Science and the Institute of Medicine.
