Lehman named director of radiology

Dr. Connie Lehman, director of the breast-imaging section at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, will now oversee the SCCA's entire radiology department. Lehman will continue to head the breast-imaging section.

In announcing her promotion to director of radiology, Dr. Norm Beauchamp, professor and chairman of the University of Washington's Department of Radiology, praised Lehman's transformation of the breast-imaging section in four years. "She took it from being challenged to being the best academic breast-imaging section in the country," he said. "She has excelled in her department leadership role maintaining a constant focus on quality, access and innovation."

Lehman noted the clinical and research accomplishments of the Department of Radiology, the SCCA and the Hutchinson Center. "I look forward to building on the foundation that Dr. Steven Marglin has established, and I am excited to lead the next phase of growth in the SCCA imaging program," she said.
