Center hosts 15th Weintraub reunion meeting Nov. 4, 5

Former graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and collaborators of the late Dr. Harold Weintraub will gather to discuss their work and celebrate Weintraub’s scientific legacy

The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center will host the 15th Weintraub meeting Friday, Nov. 4, and Saturday, Nov. 5, in the Sze conference room. The annual meeting serves as a reunion for former graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and collaborators of the late Dr. Harold Weintraub, who died from brain cancer in 1995 at age 49. The two-day symposium, "Biological Regulatory Mechanisms," will focus on interactive presentations from those individuals whose early scientific careers Weintraub influenced.

May symposium will honor Weintraub winners

Hutchinson Center’s 12th annual Weintraub science symposium will take place May 6 in Pelton Auditorium

Twelve graduate students from institutes throughout North America will receive the 2011 Harold M. Weintraub Graduate Student Award during the annual Weintraub science symposium Friday, May 6 in Pelton Auditorium of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. The symposium will feature presentations by the recently announced winners, including a doctoral candidate from the University of Washington.
