More high schoolers to discover lab-based research at the Center

Additional NIH funding will expand science education opportunities for students from Technology Access Foundation Academy and Cleveland High School

Two additional Technology Access Foundation Academy high school students will be able to participate in a unique, year-round science education/internship program at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, thanks to two supplement grants from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.

Clinical researcher recognized for high school training lab and curriculum development

Dr. Beverly Torok-Storb of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center's Clinical Research Division was honored with the Dr. Alvin J. Thompson Award for leadership in advancing science education by the Northwest Association for Biomedical Research at its annual dinner on June 2.
