Climb a mountain to support Center's breast cancer research

Expanded offerings for peak experiences during the 15th anniversary Climb to Fight Breast Cancer

In celebration of its 15th anniversary in 2012, and in 2013, the Climb to Fight Breast Cancer is offering an expanded selection of peaks to appeal to adventurers of all ability levels. Since it was established, the Climb has raised nearly $6 million for Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center research.

Turn your college basketball enthusiasm into a fundraiser for the Center; enter by March 15

Fans of the March Madness NCAA basketball tournament can fill out brackets and raise funds for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center at the same time. Brackets for Hope is a new website created by a group of Center supporters in Wisconsin as a fundraiser for cancer research. The site has already raised $5,000 for the Center.

Safeway gives $1 million to SCCA mammography van, cancer research

Funds also extend breast cancer research and clinical trials at the Center and UW Medicine

During the past year, Safeway has provided more than $1 million towards breast cancer research and care at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and UW Medicine, renewing the company's longtime support of these institutions.
