BBE conducts quantitative scientific research employing biostatistics, bioinformatics, computational biology, infectious disease epidemiology and mathematical modeling.
Our researchers are creating a platform for integrated research that allows biostatistics, bioinformatics and population modeling to be engaged throughout vaccine design, development, evaluation and implementation.
The Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Epidemiology program’s unique expertise have had far-reaching impacts on a number of HIV vaccine development trials and have played an integral role in many ground-breaking studies.
The Statistical Center for HIV/AIDS Research and Prevention works on new and innovative HIV/AIDS prevention strategies, treatments and vaccines. We are the statistical and data management center for multiple HIV research networks.
