Research Focus

  • Statistical methods in HIV/AIDS research
  • Statistical models for monitoring and analyzing durg adherence pattern for subjects participating in pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) studies. By combining data from several measurement instruments, we aim to improve understanding and to find correlates of adherence pattern.
  • Transmission models for infectious disease epidemiology
  • Statistical and mathematical transmission models for current/emerging infectious disease outbreaks. These models help us understand disease natural history, predict potential future outcome and evaluate efficacy of prevention strategies
  • Methods for missing data
  • Bayesian data augmentation, methods of imputation, model selection when missing data is present.
