Talk Title: “Accelerating translational immunology through data science”
Abstract: With recent advances in biomedical technologies, researchers are generating datasets at a scale we couldn’t even envision five years ago. This is in addition to the amount of publicly available data that is growing at an exponential pace, that could be mined for additional biological information. At the same time, recent advances in statistics, machine learning and artificial intelligence are revolutionizing the way we think about and analyze data. During this presentation, I will describe some of the computational approaches we have developed for new high-dimensional assay data (particularly single-cell), and how we’ve been using these to help move the needle in vaccine research and cancer immunotherapy.
