The Basic Sciences Division hosts a weekly Current Biology Seminar series where leading-edge researchers are invited from around the world to share their latest scientific breakthroughs. Lectures are typically every Tuesday and are held as virtual events.

The Shen Lab studies fundamental cell biology questions in the nervous system. These questions include how neurons establish polarized cytoskeletal networks during development, how polarized intracellular membrane trafficking gives rise to distinct morphology and function of axon and dendrites.
