Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and the University of Washington Medical Center in collaboration with the Black and African-descent Collaborative for Prostate Cancer Action (BACPAC) invite you to the free, education event, BACPAC Prostate Cancer Community Research Symposium. This event aims to bring together community members, advocates, researchers, and clinicians in a forum expressly designed to meet the needs of the Black community for education and action around prostate cancer equity. The symposium will also provide an annual opportunity to engage these constituent groups in co-learning designed to facilitate greater awareness and understanding between patients, clinicians, and researchers.

Sessions will include:

  • Speakers from national research and advocacy organizations
  • Research presentations from local and national research projects that address prostate cancer equity
  • Community learning sessions on prostate health and prostate cancer fundamentals

This event is open to Fred Hutch and/or UW Medicine as well as external patients and their caregivers.
