Dr. Christopher Li

Vice President, Faculty Affairs and Diversity

Dr. Christopher Li serves as the Vice President of Faculty Affairs and Diversity. Li also conducts research into breast cancer epidemiology, early detection, recurrence and disparities in outcomes as a professor in the Public Health Sciences Division and is the holder of the Helen G. Edson Endowed Chair for Breast Cancer Research at Fred Hutch.

He is a research professor in the University of Washington Department of Epidemiology. Li is associate director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) for the Fred Hutch/UW Cancer Consortium. ,The DEI leads Fred Hutch's efforts to increase the diversity among trainees, faculty and leadership across the Consortium to better reflect the diversity of our nation.

Sara Cole has been with the Hutch since 2017. She currently works as a project coordinator. She supports Fred Hutch's NCI funded Geographic Management of Cancer Disparities (GMaP) program.

Lauren Fielder

Lauren joined the team in the summer of 2022 as a project coordinator and is a part time grad student within the University of Washington’s School of Public Health. Her experience with program development and data analysis help her execute OFAD’s initiatives.

Maliea Lowe-Hale

Executive Assistant to VP/Officer

Maliea Lowe-Hale joined the OFAD team in 2022 as the new Executive Assistant to Chris Li and Fred Appelbaum. Her previous experience in faculty recruitment, onboarding, and advancement tracking, as well as large-scale event planning, adds immense value to the team.
