Dr. Rachel Ceballos
Behavioral Research

Reducing Cancer Health Disparities

Biobehavioral scientist Dr. Rachel Ceballos studies ways to reduce health disparities in cancer, primarily focusing on health outcomes in underserved communities. She leads studies of ways to support Latino and Black cancer survivors, and she works with community partners to develop culturally-appropriate interventions that will help reduce unjust social and emotional burdens of the underserved. 

Dr. Larry Corey
Vaccine Development

Testing Vaccines for HIV and COVID-19

Dr. Larry Corey is an international expert in virology, immunology and vaccine development, whose research focuses on herpes viruses, HIV, the COVID-19 virus and viruses associated with cancer. He is principal investigator of the HIV Vaccine Trials Network and of the Fred Hutch-based operations center of the COVID-19 Prevention Network, or CoVPN, and he co-leads the CoVPN’s vaccine testing pipeline.
