A science education program helped launch Louisa Pendergast’s research career. Now she’s helping mentor more science teachers at Fred Hutch.

Under Dr. Nancy Hutchison's leadership, the Hutch's Science Education Partnership has worked with about 500 teachers from throughout Washington. The molecular biologist and science educator is retiring after a 34-year career at the Hutch. SEP 'success story' Jeanne Chowning will take over as the program's new director.
