The Hutchinson Center has received reaccreditation by the Association for Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP), making it the only research institution in the state of Washington to lay claim to an industry gold standard for human research subject protection.

When Lee Strucker in Human Resources heard that the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center’s Institutional Review Board needed community members for its research review committees, he thought of his father-in-law and suggested that he consider it. Now Dick Erickson, a retired neuropsychologist, is the IRB’s newest volunteer.
