    Antibiotic Awareness Week Open House at SCCA | Nov. 26, 2018

    On Nov. 15, the SCCA Antimicrobial Stewardship Team hosted their second annual Antibiotic Awareness Open House to mark World Antibiotic Awareness Week, an occasion to raise awareness of — and encourage partnership against — the further emergence and spread of antibiotic resistance.

    The scientific innovation and excellence of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center’s Infectious Disease Sciences Program were on display at the BMT Tandem Meetings Feb. 21-25, 2018, in Salt Lake City, Utah, as three scientists from the program received prestigious awards.

    Farm to Bedside Symposium | Jan. 26, 2018

    On Thursday, January 25th, at 3:30 PM in Pelton Auditorium, Fred Hutch hosted, “Farm to Bedside: Antimicrobial Resistance in Agriculture and its Effect on Humans.” This event was a rare opportunity to hear about antibiotic resistance from investigative journalist and author Maryn McKenna, as well as five leading local experts who participated in a panel discussion.
