The scientific innovation and excellence of Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center’s Infectious Disease Sciences Program were on display at the BMT Tandem Meetings Feb. 21-25, 2018, in Salt Lake City, Utah, as three scientists from the program received prestigious awards.
On Thursday, January 25th, at 3:30 PM in Pelton Auditorium, Fred Hutch hosted, “Farm to Bedside: Antimicrobial Resistance in Agriculture and its Effect on Humans.” This event was a rare opportunity to hear about antibiotic resistance from investigative journalist and author Maryn McKenna, as well as five leading local experts who participated in a panel discussion.
Members of Fred Hutch's Infectious Diseases Sciences Program and the University of Washington's (UW) Virology Division gathered on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, for a joint annual symposium at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Seattle.
