Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division
VIDD scientists integrate clinical care, computational methods and basic research to reduce the global burden of infectious diseases. Our diverse faculty utilize these three approaches to interweave and create translational science that goes from the bench to bedside. We provide a broad range of research in many areas of biomedical science and attract talented and ambitious scientists dedicated to improving human health.
VIDD is recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Member or Associate Member level in the Physician/Scientist pathway. The individual will be expected to develop his or her own independent laboratory research program focused on microbial communities and their impact on health and disease.
The primary responsibility of this position will be to develop an independent research program focused on the epidemiology of infectious diseases in cancer and transplant populations and/or immune-based therapies. This is intended to be a primarily non-laboratory-based position with the opportunity to develop partnerships with other investigators locally and externally.
