Open positions and recruitment for the Basic Sciences Division - Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center

Basic Sciences Division

Open Positions

Staff Scientist

Staff Scientist - Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience
A staff scientist position is available in the Buck Lab. The Buck Lab studies the sense of smell and aging in mammals.

Staff Scientist/Research Specialist
A staff scientist/research specalist position is available in the Biggins Lab. The Biggins Lab studies cell division, the cytoskeleton and chromosome segregation.

Postdoctoral

Post-Doctoral Research Fellow – Nuclear Envelope Research
A postdoctoral position is available in the Hatch Lab. The Hatch Lab’s research focuses on the organization and dynamics of the nuclear envelope to understand how changes in this structure cause human genetic diseases and drive cancer development.

Post-Doctoral Research Fellow – Cellular or Developmental Biology
A postdoctoral position is available in the Cooper Lab. The Cooper Lab’s research focuses on understanding signal transduction mechanisms with an emphasis on pathways that regulate cell migration and morphology.

Post-Doctoral Research Fellow – Mechanisms of Transcriptional Regulation
A postdoctoral position is available in the Hahn Lab. The Hahn Lab’s research focuses on the regulation of eukaryotic transcription.

Post-Doctoral Research Fellow – Molecular Neuroscience
A postdoctoral position is available in the Buck Lab. The Buck Lab’s research focuses on the molecular mechanisms and neural circuits that underlie the sense of smell and instinctive odor responses.

Post-Doctoral Research Fellow – Molecular Basis of Quiescence
A postdoctoral position is available in the Tsukiyama Lab. The Tsukiyama Lab studies chromatin, the complex of DNA and proteins that make up our chromosomes, and how its structure controls essential processes that take place on DNA.

Research Technician

Research Technician I/II - Cell and Developmental Biology
A research technician position is available in the Cooper Lab. The Cooper Lab investigates the roles of two types of post-translational modification, protein-tyrosine phosphorylation and ubiquitination, in cell and developmental biology.

Research Technician II - Cell Biology
A research technician position is available in the Parkhurst Lab. The Parkhurst Lab studies mechanisms of wound repair, cytoskeletal dynamics, and nuclear architecture in Drosophila.

Research Technician II - Molecular and Computational Virology
A research technician position is available in the Bloom Lab. The Bloom Lab studies the molecular evolution of proteins and viruses, using a mix of computation and experiment.

Other

Lab Aide
A part-time lab aide position is available in the Malik Lab. The Malik Lab studies evolutionary and functional studies of genetic conflict.
