Join us for a glimpse into the breakthrough science conducted at Fred Hutch. Our Science for Life series breaks down concepts, skips the homework and offers a chance to interact with a world-class researcher in a fun and informal atmosphere.
Data science is transforming many industries, in applications ranging from movie recommendations to self-driving cars. Health care, in contrast, has been relatively slow to reap benefits from big data. However, the promise of its impact on medicine is driving us to work with data at new scales and with new emphasis on collaboration across disciplines. With the encouragement of the President’s Precision Medicine Initiative and the Vice President’s National Cancer Moonshot, we are sprinting to develop new capabilities for working with complex and nontraditional data in research and clinical settings.
