Internship Opportunities

Year Up

Year Up is non-profit, 501(c)(3) which was founded in Boston in October 2000 by Gerald Chertavian as a one-year intensive education and internship program for urban young adults aged 18-24. Year Up's program recognizes that both job skills (technical and professional) and higher education are necessary to provide a viable path to economic self-sufficiency. Year Up’s mission is to close the Opportunity Divide by providing urban young adults with the skills, experience, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through professional careers and higher education.  Year Up’s unique focus on mentorship and corporate partnerships create an environment where young adults grow professionally and personally.

Today, there are nine offices around the country, including one in Puget Sound, which opened it’s doors in March 2011.  We are proud to be one of Year Up’s ten founding local corporate partners.  As a founding corporate partner, we have made a critical investment and commitment to help young adults in the Puget Sound region bridge the opportunity divide.  Currently, we are hosting 2 interns; one in Help Desk Support and one in A/V Technical Services where they are gaining valuable skills and experience and we are gaining cost-effective, motivated, and diverse support.
